The role of Family Therapist is an exciting opportunity to provide systemic family therapy services to patients receiving inpatient care on our Specialist Eating Disorder Unit and outpatient treatment within our Private therapy service.

Main duties include providing specialist systemic assessments and interventions for patients and their families, participating in assessment, care planning, and facilitating psycho-educational and parent support groups.

Successful candidates will offer advice and consultation on the psychological care of patients and their families to colleagues, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.

They will also attend or contribute to ward rounds, CPAs, MDT assessments, team formulations, and care planning, as well as offering systemic family therapy to carers and patients using a range of systemic interventions.

A competitive salary up to £52,000 per annum will be offered to successful candidates. In addition, flexible working arrangements, supplemented meals, access to employee assistance programs, and other benefits are available.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires experienced professionals who are qualified systemic family psychotherapists registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) via the College of Family Couple and Systemic Therapy.

Educated to MSc level in Family Therapies, successful candidates will have formal training in the supervision of a psychotherapeutic modality and further training in a recognised evidence-based psychological therapy.
