Maintenance Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer in the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on conveyors and other factory equipment, as well as reducing downtime and hitting KPIs to drive efficiency within the department.

  • Planned maintenance: Regularly schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and maintain optimal production levels.
  • Reactive maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Preventative maintenance: Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to extend equipment lifespan and reduce maintenance costs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background, with previous experience working in maintenance. A NVQ L3, HNC, or HND qualification is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of factory equipment, including conveyors, machinery, and other production assets.
  • Identification and resolution of equipment faults and failures.
  • Development and implementation of maintenance schedules and plans.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Previous experience working in maintenance.
  • NVQ L3, HNC, or HND qualification or equivalent.
