About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Evaluation Engineer to join our team at Dixons Carphone. As a key member of our Branded Evaluation team, you will play a crucial role in setting priority levels for each product and determining the level of testing required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and continually evolve a structured evaluation process for each product type and trust level based on risk and performance history
  • Manage the workload for the Branded Evaluation team to ensure there is no impact on the product time to market
  • Develop and maintain a risk assessment database to identify the risk level for each product subcategory and supplier rating
  • Stay up-to-date with safety regulations for each product category and research requirements for new categories
  • Provide factual information based on experience relating to legal compliance of products and influence commercial teams on non-legal product performance issues
Requirements
  • Significant experience of product development, safety requirements, and quality management procedures
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of product safety and technical skills to support decision making
  • Good understanding of current and developing technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with product design methodologies such as life cycle modeling and cost management would be desirable
