At ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Firmware Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled engineer to work with ARM-based microcontrollers, expanding the capability of our group and supporting the evolution of sensor technology. This role requires expertise in embedded software engineering, working closely with colleagues in hardware design and data science to develop firmware for applications, implement new features for low-level test data, and characterise and analyse new algorithms.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an ISO 9001 framework and familiarity with medical or automotive industry standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 26262.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A good engineering or scientific degree from a well-respected university.
  • Familiarity with automated testing of firmware builds, regression testing, debugging using JTAG interface adapters, and testing using oscilloscopes and logic analysers.
  • Proficiency in Python and development of Windows GUI applications in C#.
  • Experience with digital or analogue hardware design.
