Job Opportunity: SEND Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our team at an outstanding school in South Manchester. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students, providing day-to-day teaching and learning provision for children in their class.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the SEND curriculum and be able to design and develop engaging and age-appropriate lessons that meet the needs of primary level SEND learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SEND curriculum at the primary level in line with national and local standards.
  • Deliver high-quality science instruction using a range of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Design and implement assessments to gauge students' understanding and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to guide their learning.

Requirements:

  • PGCE with QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
  • SEND EYFS teaching experience at the primary level preferably in the last 2 years is essential.
  • Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to child protection, safeguarding and pupil welfare.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
