We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Professional to join our team in providing exceptional care at Halcyon Health & Social Care. As a Healthcare Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to make a real difference in people's lives. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care needs
  • Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered)
  • Management of PEG feeds and flushes
  • Monitoring of weight due to weight loss
  • Continence care
  • Management of skin integrity
  • Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed
  • Anticipation of all needs
  • Reassurance and management of distress
  • Administration of medications via PEG
  • Monitoring of pain
  • On-going therapy for management of posture
  • Night time needs
  • Assistance with hydrotherapy

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required)
  • A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required)
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals.

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum based on experience. Plus benefits including mileage reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
