About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Workplace Design to join our client, a renowned business in the field of Workplace Design. With a strong reputation for innovation and excellence, they are seeking a talented individual to lead their Design team and drive the evolution of their design processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading their own allocated projects, overseeing the existing Design team, and developing the team through recruitment, R&D, and other duties. They will work closely with clients to develop intelligent project briefs, conduct design feasibility exercises, and produce developed designs that meet the client's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with the client's business goals and objectives
  • Lead the design process, from concept to completion, ensuring that designs are innovative, functional, and meet the client's needs
  • Collaborate with the technical and building services team to ensure that designs are technically sound and meet regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team of designers to ensure that they have the skills and expertise needed to deliver high-quality designs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in design
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs and leading design teams
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Workplace sector, including current trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and industry guides such as BCO Best Practice
  • A Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
