About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Glass Technologist to join our growing technical team at Glass Futures. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise to support our business and work closely with our Projects, Commercial, and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to our business, including assisting with internal and external queries.
  • Work with our Projects team to design trial programmes and provide technical information to our members.
  • Lead technical programmes of research, including literature reviews, lab studies, and pilot line trials.
  • Analyse and interpret data and findings from technical studies and trials.
  • Produce technical reports and papers, and present to external parties, including at industry conferences.
  • Lead technical discussions with our members to align future R&D studies with industry requirements.

Requirements

  • Work experience in a Foundation Industry, preferably Glass.
  • PhD or equivalent level of experience in areas related to Glass or equivalent scientific or engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in presenting technical information to different groups.
  • Experience in developing new business opportunities is desirable.
  • Awareness of how to manage Intellectual Property and confidential data.
  • Glass manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
