BIM Manager Role Overview

Egis Group is seeking a skilled BIM Manager to join our team. As a BIM Manager, you will play a crucial role in setting and implementing design and delivery processes for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of personnel within the BIM team, including BIM coordinators, document controllers, and GIS specialists.
  • Assist BIM coordinators and project information engineers in implementing all BIM requirements for projects.
  • Deliver in-house training to BIM coordinators on ISO19650 and Common Data Environments.
  • Define EGIS' BIM/Digital Strategy and establish ISO 19650 accreditation for Transportation in the UK.
  • Develop a BIM implementation plan and roadmap to reach BIM Level 2 to ISO1950 series.
  • Ensure BIM processes and protocols for input data management and external deliverables/published documentation.
  • Produce BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Digital Strategies.
  • Define collaborative processes and procedures, including 2D and 3D clash detection.
  • Ensure all data generated by Egis personnel meets individual project requirements set out in both Exchange Information requirements (EIR) and project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Establish systems for clash avoidance, internal model audits, and clash detection for project submissions.
  • Evaluate software and hardware needs for project deliverables.
  • Define approach to project modelling (2D-3D), train, develop, and support team members.
  • Coordinate CAD/3D model and establish agreed workflow.
  • Ensure 3D Models and GIS are integrated into project and company requirements.
