Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team of commercial building services experts. As a key member of our regional team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients, including inspecting and maintaining gas appliances, central heating plant, and plant room equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas appliances, central heating plant, and plant room equipment to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Attend to emergency callouts, including out-of-hours reactive and diagnostic repairs, and liaise with colleagues and suppliers to obtain information on parts, costs, and lead times.
- Install and carry out site works associated with the installation of gas appliances, central heating plant, and plant room equipment.
- Provide guidance to site-based client teams on the operation and management of their assets, advising them when plant needs to be replaced or upgraded rather than repaired.
- Deliver data to support the creation of quotations, including equipment, parts, and labour.
- Meet contracted performance targets and CMS expectations, including health and safety and work standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in gas engineering and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of gas appliances, central heating plant, and plant room equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
