Neighbourhood Programme Coordinator Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Neighbourhood Programme Coordinator to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment.

The primary purpose of this role will be to facilitate effective action to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities in the local area.

The successful candidate will have experience in community development, either in a paid or unpaid capacity, and be involved with statutory/voluntary organisations in addressing community issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with local people, voluntary and community groups to empower them to find solutions to local issues
  • Develop and maintain partnership working with various stakeholders
  • Provide support on appropriate organisational structures and development needs for community groups
  • Help groups implement action plans to support their aims and objectives

Requirements

  • Experience in community development, either in a paid or unpaid capacity
  • Involved with statutory/voluntary organisations in addressing community issues
  • Understanding of social issues and their local impact
  • Knowledge of funding regimes and their requirements
  • An understanding and commitment to developing and maintaining partnership working is essential
  • The ability to organise, plan and prioritise their work using their own initiative

Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary of £23,512 (£28,998 p.a. full-time equivalent), pay review (increase) pending.

Salary estimate: £25,200 - £31,500 per annum.
