About the Role:
- Strengthen the link between sites and finance by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth and improve stock control.
- Develop and manage gas inventory control processes across all sites, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely action on outstanding items and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Forecast gas inventory levels to support working capital and cash flow forecasts, enabling informed business decisions.
- Implement working capital initiatives to reduce Days Inventory Outstanding, improving the company's cash flow and profitability.
- Manage intercompany balance positions for commodity hedges, ensuring accurate financial reporting and minimizing risk.
- Lead the customer-specific hedging quotation process, execute trades, track actuals, and report results to stakeholders.
- Communicate the impact of commodity hedging on cost of sales to the Commercial team, ensuring a deep understanding of margin impacts and driving business growth.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and undertake ad hoc projects as needed, contributing to the company's overall success.
Requirements:
- Qualified ACA or CIMA, QBE
- Experience in a financial accounting environment, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Initiative and self-motivation, with a strong desire to develop and improve financial processes and systems.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and seek improvements in financial reporting, information, and data.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create informative reports.
