Job Title: Machine Technician - Reusable Packaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our client's expanding team at their Coalville site. As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for operating bespoke machines for reusable packaging, performing quality control, and conducting technical cleaning of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate bespoke machines for reusable packaging, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output.
  • Perform quality control to ensure products meet company specifications, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct technical cleaning of equipment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Repair and refurbish components used in machines, utilizing your mechanical and electrical expertise.
  • Maintain and manage tools and toolboxes, ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
  • Keep the production workshop clean and organized, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production lines, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth production flow.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety practices, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster good communication and teamwork across shifts, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with external software support to resolve issues, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Actively seek and share productivity improvements, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Train others as required, sharing your expertise and knowledge with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cover additional shifts for holidays, absence, and training, demonstrating a commitment to the team's success.
Requirements:
  • Electrical/Mechanical experience is advantageous, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with pneumatic maintenance is required, with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing pneumatic systems.
  • Strong analytical and basic computer skills are essential, with the ability to read diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Proficient IT skills are required, with the ability to communicate effectively with external software support.

  • Strong time management and interpersonal relationship skills are required, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Full-time, permanent position with a 24/7 shift pattern, requiring flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Machine Technician is required, with a proven track record of experience in a similar role.
