Exciting Opportunity for Assistant Psychologists

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking three highly motivated Assistant Psychologists to join a new Wellcome Trust-funded clinical trial. This multicentre study aims to test the effectiveness of sleep interventions in individuals at risk of developing psychosis, those recovering from a first episode of psychosis, and those with non-affective psychosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identification, recruitment, informed consent, and follow-up of participants under the supervision of a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Delivery of sleep interventions under the supervision of a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in a clinical and research context.
Requirements:
  • Psychology graduate with a 2:1 or higher degree.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based psychological approaches to insomnia and psychosis.
  • Experience of psychological research, data entry, cleaning, and organisation of files, and report writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and travel between sites within NHS GG&C.
