Physiotherapist Functional Assessor Role

About the Opportunity

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will utilize your clinical expertise to understand the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving chronic pain disorders and neurological, physical, and mental health conditions, providing compassionate and experienced support to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to comprehend the effects of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life
  • Produce detailed Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining a person's eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision

Requirements

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • Right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
