Occupational Therapist

Rosscare is a leading provider of NHS wheelchair Services, delivering high-quality care to individuals in Dudley and Solihull areas.

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Posture and Mobility Services team. As a Posture and Mobility Specialist, you will work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver contractual service performance of a high quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a posture and mobility service, neurology, learning disability, or children's services. You must be confident in assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

• Assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
• Prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
• Liaising with service user groups and other stakeholders to facilitate joint working
• Providing support for internal and external training programmes
• Contributing to the development of internal training resources
• Undertaking risk assessments and corresponding risk management
• Confidently using digital systems and software for record-keeping and analysis of service performance

The role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. You must hold a full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle and be willing to drive as necessary. Due to the nature of the role, you will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
