Funding and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Funding and Development Specialist to join our team on a self-employed basis. The successful candidate will work closely with our CEO and wider team to support our efforts to secure funding, build strategic partnerships, and develop our Community Music programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify funding opportunities from diverse sources, including government grants, foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors.
- Develop and maintain our funding database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Support the cultivation and nurturing of relationships with funders, donors, and community partners to expand our network of support and engagement.
- Assist in the development of compelling grant proposals, funding applications, and sponsorship pitches in collaboration with the management team.
- Support grant reporting and compliance efforts to meet funder requirements and maintain transparency and accountability.
- Represent Resonate Creative CIC at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to identify new funding prospects and strategic partnerships.
Requirements:
- Qualified to degree level or have an equivalent level of professional training or experience.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and development within the non-profit sector, ideally with experience in arts, music, or cultural organizations.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify funding prospects and opportunities aligned with our mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate our mission and impact persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- The organization is neuro-inclusive, and the ideal candidate will have a good working understanding of working within a team with colleagues living with ADHD and autism.
- The successful candidate will need to register with HMRC for self-employment and pay their own tax and National Insurance contributions associated with this role.
Working Arrangements:
The position is currently on a part-time basis for 8 hours per week, but we are interested to expand the role over time subject to securing additional funding.
Rate of Pay: £15 per hour / £120 per day. Peacehaven / Brighton (Hybrid in-person / remote working potential).
