Job Title: Litigation Solicitor - Oxford Office

About the Role:

Our client, a Legal 500 firm with offices in Oxford, is seeking an ambitious Litigation Solicitor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the market and the ability to take on an existing varied caseload while undertaking business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage own caseload of a variety of contentious matters
Manage most of the procedure from instruction through to settlement
Provide a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice
Experience of taking matters to court is beneficial, but not essential
Attend to clients of the firm on a regular basis
Be actively involved in the marketing and business development of the team and wider firm
Maintain continuing professional development requirements and take an active interest in furthering knowledge within litigation
Regularly attend and be involved in preparation for team meetings

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor
Experience in running your own caseload
Strong negotiation, communication and advocacy skills
Be proactive with an interest in business development
