Salary

The salary for this role is between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary that reflects the skills and qualifications required for this role.



Job Description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex, integrated solutions for our clients. You will perform and evaluate cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects, provide 24x7 on-call support, and develop technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging network and telecommunications systems and technologies.



You will also be responsible for communicating system operations and environment changes, adhering to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements, understanding and avoiding capacity, redundancy, and health constraints of network and telecommunications systems, and ensuring that all security requirements are met.



Furthermore, you will provide technical input to solution development plans and concept documents, demonstrate understanding of business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT-owned solutions, perform and plan major version upgrades, design and implement effective monitoring of enterprise systems, and plan and manage technical projects involving other teams.



The successful candidate will have several years of experience across Cisco networking technology, with extra kudos given if you've worked with Cisco Nexus, ACI, Cisco ASA, Cisco Wireless, Cisco DMVPN, and MPLS.



Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:





  • Several years of experience across Cisco networking technology

  • Experience working with Cisco Nexus, ACI, Cisco ASA, Cisco Wireless, Cisco DMVPN, and MPLS

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of network and telecommunications systems and technologies

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Experience managing technical projects and teams
