Strategic Financial Analyst

We are collaborating with a well-established organisation in Burnley who requires an experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to bridge the gap between commercial and financial reporting requirements.
The role will focus on budgeting and forecasting controls, managing international contracts from a financial position, and providing transparency for senior leadership.
This position involves working closely with both financial and commercial stakeholders to integrate numbers and interpret them for contracts, ensuring profitability, timeframes, and cost management.
- Manage expenditure across multiple contracts, monitoring cashflow and budgetary trackers.
- Review and provide explanations for forecasting variances to SMT.
- Collaborate with project managers to control cashflow within projects and retain projected revenue targets.
- Manage gross margin reporting on multiple projects in line with forecasted outcomes.
- Track cashflows and internal budgets for expenditure.
- Maintain tight reporting around revenue/cost/margin variances.
- Provide accurate updates on variances to the leadership team.
- Manage billing and collection of contract monies, building solid relationships with clients and internal parties.
- Support internal and external audit processes regarding financial evidence.
The ideal candidate will improve financial efficiencies and reporting, requiring confidence, experience working with finance and non-finance personnel, and adding value to commercial information management.
