About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enhanced Support Worker to join our Islington Mental Health Accommodation Pathway service. As an Enhanced Support Worker, you will work with individuals who have complex needs, including mental health conditions and trauma. Your role will involve providing support and guidance to help individuals recover and stay well, exercise choice and control in their care and lives, and participate on an equal footing in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and external partners
  • Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers and conducting regular key work sessions
  • Key-working the most complex service-users with particular needs aligned with the post holder's specialism
  • Creating risk management and support plans for providing appropriate services based on ongoing assessment
  • Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers
  • Providing support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery
  • Undertaking support work in partnership with external stakeholders
  • Upskilling staff team in particular areas of expertise
  • Developing productive relationships with partner organisations
  • Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues

About You:

We are looking for a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills, who is socially adept, networks widely, and is well-connected in the sector. You should be approachable, open, and professional in your behaviour, and be at ease in directing others. You should also be able to drive change, enjoy dynamic and diverse environments, and demonstrate entrepreneurialism, creativity, and innovation.

What You'll Bring:

  • Up to NVQ Level or equivalent in a relevant area (psychology, Health and Social Care, Mental Health) or experience in the social care/charity sector
  • Experience building and developing strong professional partnerships with external providers aligned to their specialism
  • IT Literate
