About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematician to join our team at ToffeeX, a leading innovator in engineering design software. As a Mathematician at ToffeeX, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced mathematical models that drive our engineering design software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mathematical Model Development: Develop and refine mathematical models and algorithms to address complex engineering challenges, particularly those involving nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) and optimization.
  • Research and Innovation: Innovate beyond existing literature, developing creative approaches to solve unique mathematical problems and stay ahead of emerging mathematical methods.
  • Software Integration: Collaborate with engineers and software developers to integrate mathematical models into our cloud-based platform.
  • Software Development: Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Background: Strong background in constrained numerical optimization, with experience in subfields such as nonlinear, nonsmooth, nonconvex, or robust optimization.
  • Experience: Experience with numerical methods for PDEs, applied across various physical domains at a research level, and experience with software development in C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Skills: Ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical software solutions for engineering applications.
