About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy Production Manager to join our team at Landcorp Farming Limited. As a key member of our farm management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of farm staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our dairy farm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of farm staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the farm
- Develop and implement farm management plans to optimize milk production and farm profitability
- Oversee pasture management, farm maintenance, and equipment operation
- Coach and mentor farm staff to improve their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with the Farm Manager to achieve farm goals and objectives
Requirements
- Proven experience in dairy farm management, with a strong understanding of dairy operations and farm management practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- AgIto L4 or equivalent qualification (preferred)
The Farm
Our dairy farm is a 400-hectare operation, milking 950 cows through a 60-bale rotary. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our staff and animals.
