About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Norton Court House, a specialist longer-term service for children and young people with a diagnosed Learning Disability and who display challenging behaviour as a result.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing intensive levels of support and care to help the young people we care for develop social and life skills. You will have the opportunity to learn whilst you work with Active Care Group, working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Residential Child Care after probation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with children and young people, establishing effective methods of communication to reduce barriers when necessary.
  • Assist children and young people with mealtimes, activities of daily living, and personal care when needed.
  • Communicate any issues to the on-shift team leader or management, accurately reporting and/or recording work activities.
