We are seeking a dedicated and committed individual to join our team as a School Governor at Endeavour Academy, part of Nexus Academy Trust. As a Governor, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the growth and development of our school.

About Endeavour Academy

Endeavour Academy is a Nottingham-based Special School with two main sites, catering for students from primary through to Post-16. Our Lower School site on Churchmoor Lane focuses on young people from primary to Year 8, while our Upper School site on Sherbrook Road caters for students from Year 9 to Post-16. We strive to create a supportive environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Governor, you will be responsible for working alongside other members of the Academy Council, including Staff Governors, Parent Governors, Community Governors, the Headteacher, and officers from the Nexus Central Trust Team. Your duties will include receiving information and reports related to the school's Self-Evaluation, School Improvement Plan, and Pupil and Community Voice. Meetings will be scheduled during the school day or evenings, depending on the individual school, and will typically last for 2 hours, with one meeting per term.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have an interest in improving outcomes for children and young people. As a Parent Governor, you would need to have a child who is a pupil on roll at the school you are interested in. You will also require strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

What We Offer

In return for your commitment and expertise, we offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
