Senior Tax Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Advisor to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work with a varied client base while offering support to our portfolio management team who undertake the management of clients.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance:
- Prepare and review tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and individuals.
- Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date records for HMRC submissions.
- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Advisory:
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
- Advise clients on the tax implications of business transactions and financial decisions.
- Assist with business restructuring and provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
- General:
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated services to clients.
- Mentor and support junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities.
- Contribute to the firm's business development efforts, including attending networking events and generating new client leads.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance client service delivery.
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in tax.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a mixed tax role within an accountancy practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in providing tax advisory services to owner-managed businesses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
