Job Title: Site Engineer - Earthworks Specialist
Fawkes & Reece (North) is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to manage Earthworks packages on new build housing developments in the Greater Manchester region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of Earthwork packages on multiple sites in the Greater Manchester region.
- Be fully conversant with all contract drawings and specifications and their application to the works under construction.
- Undertake the setting out of the works and carry out independent checks.
- Quantify material requirements in advance for call off.
- Carry out measurements and surveys and works completed by the Earthworks contractor.
- Checking levels and boundaries.
- Assist in the preparation of up-dating programs and resource requirements as works progress.
- Assist in the measurement of the works with the engineer's representatives.
- Be conversant with the company's policies and manuals covering Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and environmental issues.
- Monitor Health & Safety on site and immediately report any unsafe working practices to the Site Agent.
- Continuously liaise and provide information to the Site Manager and Contracts Manager when required.
- Assist in ensuring work is carried out cost effectively.
- Assist in ensuring a high standard of quality work and report any defects to the Site Manager.
- Assist in maintaining site tidiness and cleanliness.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

- Strong technical knowledge of Earthworks and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
