Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform resting ECGs and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders
  • Analyze resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders
  • Support exercise stress echoes and exercise tolerance testing
  • Support head-up tilt table testing (HUTT)
  • Support ILR implant and follow-up
  • Provide technical and clinical advice to peers, juniors, and students
  • Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, PTP and STP students
  • Assist in education throughout the Trust, including medical students, PTP and STP trainees

Requirements:

  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience of fitting and analyzing ECG and blood pressure monitors
  • Strong underpinning knowledge of exercise tolerance testing, resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recording and interpretation
  • Basic competency in coronary angiography
  • Basic competency in implantable loop recorder and single chamber pacemaker implantation and/or follow-up
  • All CRM device follow-up experience
