Job Title: Technical Application Scientist, qPCR

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing technical application support for our quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) instruments and reagents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers, ensuring seamless support and resolution of complex issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement new technologies and products, driving innovation and growth.
  • Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in our Customer Relationship Management system, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Proactively determine customer needs and provide innovative solutions, exceeding expectations and building strong relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in qPCR technology, applying this knowledge to drive business success.
  • Participate in training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies, ensuring expertise and staying ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience, with a strong background in molecular biology or a related field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, with equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven experience in qPCR applications and troubleshooting, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with fluency in English and one additional European language (Italian, French, or German).
  • Ambitious and self-motivated individual with a passion for driving innovation and collaboration.
