We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Mate to join our team at Aggregate Industries UK Limited. As a key member of our maritime operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our dredger.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Master of the vessel in all aspects of day-to-day operation, including navigation and dredging operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Manage and organize the deck department, including crew management and safety protocols.
- Perform navigational duties and undertake dredging operations as required by the Master.
- Conduct safety drills and training sessions, and maintain safety equipment.
- UK Certificate of Competency (CoC) or UK CEC (minimum Chief Mate Unlimited)
- ENG1 or equivalent Seafarer medical fitness certificate
- All valid STCW certification
- Willingness to obtain further certificates, such as Pilot Exemptions Certificate (PEC)
