About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our infrastructure organisation, you will play a crucial role in coaching and advising senior leadership teams on HR challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR function for over 1000 colleagues in the North and East route
  • Coach and advise senior leadership teams on HR challenges
  • Balance everyday HR complexities with longer-term strategic vision
  • Lead a team of HR Business Partners and HR projects
Requirements
  • Strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs
  • Proven experience of working in partnership with senior business leaders
  • Passionate about customer service and ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions
  • Ability to establish professional credibility quickly
  • Experience of coaching, influencing, and building strong working relationships with senior business leaders
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively
  • Experience of working with senior leaders to identify, develop, and retain talent
  • Excellent technical HR knowledge - CIPD qualified or relevant experience
  • Proven track record of operating in a complex working environment
  • Broad experience of managing organisation change programmes
  • Graduate calibre
  • Experience of working within a highly unionised environment
Desirable
  • MCIPD/post-graduate human resources qualification
  • Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing complex projects
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment
