Veterinary Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic Small Animal Practice team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals and cases, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the Role- Perform a mix of consults and surgery, with case continuity encouraged to foster strong client/pet/vet bonds.
- Work a 40-hour week, spread over 4 days, with a mix of early and late shifts (latest finish at 7pm).
- Share in the Saturday rota on a 1:5 basis, with a finish time of 2pm.
- No OOH or Bank Holidays.
- Our practices are equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, in-house haematology and biochemistry, including SDMA, T4, and other extended panels.
- Ultrasound, laser therapy, cautery, multi-parameters, and bair huggers are also available.
- We have separate dog and cat waiting areas, and are an ISFM silver cat-friendly clinic at our Chester le Street site, with plans to achieve this at our Durham surgery.
- Work alongside 9 experienced Veterinary Surgeons and a fantastic nursing team, including 12 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 5 VCAs.
