About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Category Director to lead our national Children and Families commissioning and procurement team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in procurement and/or commissioning roles and excel at working collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement/commissioning strategies and strategic implementation plans.
  • Lead the commercial management of national children's services contracts and implement best practice in commissioning and procurement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure commissioned services are financially sustainable and offer best value.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement within the team, driving innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a Business or Social Care-related discipline, or equivalent qualification, and excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
