Pearson, a leading UK-based education company, is seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join its team. This is a key role that will support the division in month-end activities, forecasting, financial reporting, and ad-hoc queries.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, accounting operations, budgeting, and management reporting. The successful applicant will be responsible for month-end activities, including journal entries, forecasting and budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc queries and cost accounting analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and budgets
  • Analyze and report on financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide timely and actionable insights to inform business decisions
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified accountant in ACCA or CIMA
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in finance or accounting operations

Competitive Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and generous annual leave entitlement.
