Audit & Accounts Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accountancy practice, you will be responsible for managing audits, preparing accounts, and leading a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare accounts for Limited companies and corporation tax returns, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service and support, and driving business growth through commercial awareness and fee development.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, providing expert advice and guidance on audit and accounts matters.
  • Present work to senior managers, ensuring high-quality files and delivering excellent results.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance, ensuring our clients receive expert advice.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, providing clear and concise communications and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to and mentor new trainees, supporting their learning and development, and setting an example for the team.
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable accountancy practice in Oldham, providing trusted accountancy services to a varied portfolio of clients. As a Senior Audit & Accounts Specialist, you will be part of a people-led approach, working closely with clients to deliver exceptional service and support.

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.
  • A permanent, full-time role with a company pension and generous annual leave.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a drive to progress and deliver exceptional results.
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting, with a strong commercial awareness and ability to provide expert advice.
  • Previous practice experience, with a positive and constructive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients.
