At Metrica Recruitment, we are partnering with an emerging technology consultancy company that specializes in providing bespoke solutions to clients across the UK.

This exciting opportunity is part of their expansion plans for the cyber security division coming into 2024. You will join an existing team of more than 200 consultants who value prestigious in-house training schemes.

The Role:

You will have the chance to provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK public sector and defence organisations, enabling them to protect their ICT investments and play a key role in nationally critical projects.

Throughout the project life-cycle, you'll take on diverse roles, engaging with a broad spectrum of clients and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. Responsibilities may include advising on information assurance topics, contributing to IA strategies, policies, and awareness, managing security work programs, outlining security requirements, crafting and implementing security architectures, and supervising secure development and accreditation of information systems.

You'll create top-notch deliverables and assess those produced by others. As a client-side adviser, you'll engage extensively with stakeholders, directly interacting with clients to address daily challenges in project delivery and explore future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possessing a strong academic background, likely STEM related from a reputable University
  • Experience working within the cyber security landscape and with complex ICT systems
  • Ability to work in a client-facing environment; excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology
  • Knowledge of enterprise security packages, security enforcing software and devices, such as identity management and federation, cryptography, public key infrastructure, firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, etc.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of structured security frameworks, such as HMG SPF and ISO27001
  • Familiarity with security, technical and enterprise architecture methods such as TOGAF and SABSA
  • Technical risk assessments
  • Software development and delivery

We estimate this role will come with an annual salary of £80,000 - £110,000 depending on your experience and qualifications.
