Class 1 Driver Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, making deliveries and collections to and from businesses, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles, including the use of pallet trucks
  • Making deliveries and collections to and from businesses, including in London
  • Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence
  • Current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of fridge trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Fitness, flexibility, hard work, and self-motivation
