We're looking for a skilled Auto/Vehicle Electrician to join our team in Weston-Super-Mare. If you have a Level 3 NVQ mechanical qualification or equivalent, and proven on-the-job experience in HGV/LGV/Car/Van, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle servicing.
- Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems, including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems, and E.C.U.
- Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment, including multi-meters, temperature gauges, micrometers, vernier gauges, and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.
We'll provide your overalls (PPE). Our hourly pay rate is £18.40 p/h based on 39 hours p/w, and we offer a £2,000 joining bonus.
Working Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.
About You
- You must possess a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification.
- You must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.
- You must be willing to obtain a forklift truck and PCV licence, if fully assisted by First Bus.
- You must have a valid UK driver's licence.
