Job Title: Senior Mental Health Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Hourglass. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to individuals and their families
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Recognized Core Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN, Dip SW, OT)
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health problems and issues that impact upon people with mental health problems
  • Detailed knowledge of the impact of risk and protective factors that affect people with mental health problems
  • Knowledge of medication prescribed for management of mental health issues
  • In-depth knowledge of diversity and anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice
  • Knowledge of current mental health legislation/policy
  • Experience of post-qualification clinical work with service users experiencing a range of mental health problems
  • Experience of delivering evidence-based interventions in a time-limited framework
  • Evidence of assessment across a broad range of mental health problems
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week, 24-hour service, 07.30 - 19.30, 09.00 - 21.00 over 7 days

Location:

Home-based treatment team, Pennine West

Salary:

NHS capped rates - Band 6, £26.50 per hour
