We are seeking a skilled Mammographer to join our team at Bupa Health Centre Leeds, working bank shifts to provide an efficient and effective mammography service as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

As a Mammographer at Bupa, you will be responsible for providing high standards of service and experience to all our patients, working autonomously to manage the daily work programme and ensuring the department runs efficiently.

You will be part of a wider team of mammographers across Bupa, managed by the centre manager and Clinical Mammography Lead, and will support in managing quality and compliance policies, practices and standards used in the clinic.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • Working independently, but as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team within the clinic.
  • Showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure the best quality service and establishing good working relationships.
  • Being able to work independently with efficiency in a complex environment and having an adaptability and sensitivity to work in a diverse working environment.

Other duties include:

  • Organising the daily work programme to ensure the department runs efficiently.
  • Working flexible hours if required to accommodate changing workload patterns of the Mammography service.
  • Performing high quality examinations as required by referring physicians according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all patients being imaged receive a very high standard of care.
  • Accurately analysing the acquired data, recording results and producing high quality images for reporting.
  • Ensuring all equipment within the department is cared for and maintained, cleanliness is upheld and that all equipment faults are reported immediately.
  • Maintaining the efficient use of all resources, establishing stock control systems and liaising with manufacturers and suppliers.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • A flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial.
  • Using your own initiative in responding to the needs of the service and having a strong focus on streamlining the patient pathway through the imaging department.
  • Working closely with the centre manager, Lead Mammographer and wider MDT to maintain and enhance the Breast imaging service we offer to our patients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (essential)
