About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer to join a well-established and rapidly growing company in the construction industry. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing bespoke construction projects, combining expertise in mechanical and electrical building services to create full schematics and work packs.

The successful candidate will be an accurate communicator, capable of discussing designs and reasoning with other departments and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing technical, administrative, and supervisory roles to carry out all aspects of Mechanical Building Services Engineering design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and assist others in the production of mechanical building engineering services designs, drawings, and schedules using 2D and 3D drawing software.
  • Review the work of design engineers, modellers, and draughters, providing technical assistance and guidance where required.
  • Liaise with design, site, and project engineers for briefing on project specifics and prioritize services coordination and drawing requirements.
  • Organize and lead reviews of 3D software coordination meetings with the construction team to promote clash awareness and foster good working relationships.
  • Monitor in-place housekeeping data recording and reporting as necessary to ensure best practices are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Experience in both 2D and 3D design.
  • Proven experience within a similar role.
  • Confident communicator able to proactively meet with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
