About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at AWE plc. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and applying Systems Engineering approaches to mechanical, electronic, processing, safety, security, or nuclear projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Systems Engineering projects, ensuring quality, time, and cost are met.
  • Develop and implement Systems Engineering best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and develop requirements for complex projects or systems.
  • Derive and allocate requirements to system elements, ensuring a thorough understanding of system behavior.
  • Develop and tailor requirements management processes and procedures at project level.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND or degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment.
  • Proven experience of delivering engineering projects with a consideration for quality, time, and cost.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and soft skills to work with people and teams to both discover and share key information.
Desirable Skills
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) skills, including the use of Enterprise Architect, DOORS, Polarion, or similar.
  • Elicitation and development of requirements for complex projects or systems.
  • Derivation and allocation of requirements to system elements.
  • Development, tailoring, and documenting of requirements management processes and procedures at project level.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or similar.
  • Working within a highly regulated industry.
