Health and Safety Manager

Join our client, a leading manufacturing company in the Craigavon area, as they seek a Health and Safety Manager to drive their health and safety agenda.
About the RoleAs a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership of the health and safety agenda, driving ownership and accountability for health, safety, and wellbeing policies and procedures. You will work closely with the team to develop and maintain the company's Health and Safety management systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching and support to the team in developing and maintaining the company's Health and Safety management systems
- Act as the site subject matter expert and key point of contact for all H&S matters
- Lead the development and implementation of H&S strategies and action plans to ensure health and safety performance improvement
- Develop, promote, support, and deliver programmes to reduce the occurrence of Loss Events
- Participate and drive both pro-active and re-active H&S monitoring programmes to assist with achieving established key performance indicators
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with the team to drive health and safety performance improvement.
