About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at EV Cargo in Newbury. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in delivering products to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive HGV vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Manage handheld terminals and record accurate information to support our logistics operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the transport team to ensure smooth delivery operations.
Requirements
  • Class 1 Driving Licence
  • Previous experience as an LGV driver, preferably with refrigeration and multi-drop experience.
  • CPC Training Course completion and strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
