About the Role:

As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs in a specialist setting. You will work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners, providing tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEN, helping them understand teachers' instructions.
  • Work with individual learners in the classroom or in the learning support department.
  • Keep track and record pupil progress.

Key Experience:
  • Experience working in a teaching or teaching assistant role.
  • Experience working with SEN children, especially those with ADD/ADHD/Autism.
  • Strong communication and social skills to manage the needs of the children.

To Be Eligible For This Role:
  • Hold a Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last 2 years.
