Job Summary

The Wheelchair Hub in Hounslow is seeking an experienced engineer/technician to join our established team. As a Rehabilitation Engineer/Wheelchair Technician, you will work alongside a team conducting repairs and handovers of NHS wheelchairs, as well as assisting in the management of our in-house Workshop, Warehouse, and Stores.

Main Duties

This role will be based in our purpose-designed premises, combining all functions of the wheelchair hub under one roof. You will work as part of a vibrant, integrated, and supportive team of technicians, working alongside administrators, therapists, and engineers. You will also have the opportunity to work in the community of Hounslow, providing high-quality services to service users.

You will be an essential part of the running of the wheelchair hub technical services, managing the repairs and maintenance, stores, and workshop. You will have experience and an organized approach to technical and asset management duties. You will demonstrate accuracy and be methodical in data entry in IT systems and our bespoke Data Base system (BEST).

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, working with colleagues and coordinating services to deliver high-quality, client-centered care. Supporting the service delivery 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, you will have on-call responsibilities on a rota basis.
