Technical Director - Fire Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our Fire Engineering team in delivering exceptional fire safety services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical excellence and delivery of our Fire Engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review of all fire strategy reports to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop innovative solutions to enhance safety and resilience in fire engineering.
  • Provide continuous high-quality fire engineering services to clients, including third-party reviews and design verification.
  • Work closely with the team to drive technical development and improve processes.
  • Manage external collaborators and contribute to sustainable development in the fire engineering discipline.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil, or similar field).
  • Postgraduate fire engineering qualification (certificate, diploma, masters, or PhD).
  • Full membership with the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers).
  • At least eight years' experience in fire safety engineering, preferably in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of CFD modelling and smoke control management.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with regards to Microsoft Word/Outlook and Bluebeam.
