We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Caregiver Role to join our team at one of our care homes in Hernebay. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to a safe and structured environment that fosters their growth and development.

The estimated salary for this position is £30,160 per annum, with opportunities for additional income through sleep shifts (£40 per sleep) and flexible working arrangements. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

The role involves delivering high standards of care, protection, and support to children and young people, facilitating their development in line with individual care plans. Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising and planning activities that promote social, emotional, and educational development;
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and residents, verbally and in writing;
  • Motivating and guiding residents to achieve their goals and develop life skills;
  • Setting examples and promoting positive values and behaviors;
  • Managing challenging behavior and responding responsibly to incidents;
  • Maintaining accurate administrative records and adhering to quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People, or be willing to achieve it. You must also be prepared to work early, late, and night shifts, including sleepovers, on a rota basis. A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
