Accounting Specialist

The Dowds Group is seeking a highly skilled Account Administrator to join our team. As an Account Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Process a high volume of third-party creditor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Recognize and resolve queries in a timely manner, liaising with relevant personnel as needed.
- Reconcile creditor statements and assist with supplier payments and statutory returns.
- Run and distribute monthly reports to stakeholders.
- Support the Group Finance Accounts Team by managing the inbox, categorizing, and electronically filing invoices.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and GL journal postings.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an Accounts or Accounts Administrator role.
- Confidence in working with MS Excel.
- Experience working with an accounts package such as SAGE.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Experience working in the Construction Industry.
- A sound working knowledge of CIS/RCT and current VAT legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
- Experience with SAGE 200.
