  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the Hospice, providing a safe clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

">
  • Clean, dust, vacuum, or mop all accessible areas of the Hospice including all clinical areas, all offices, communal spaces, including kitchens and toilets.
  • Empty all waste bins/baskets including recycling bins where applicable.
  • Replenish cleaning trolley daily, ensuring to change mop heads and replenish cloths.
  • Maintain an accurate record of cleaning using the daily cleaning schedule, highlighting any health and safety or maintenance issues.
  • Check cleaning stock levels and order necessary materials when required.
  • Undertake deep cleaning of high-risk areas as guided by the Deep Clean schedule.
  • Keep the laundry area clean and tidy, maintaining linen stocks, ordering patient linen on a weekly basis to meet requirements.
  • Act as point of contact for Housekeeping volunteers.
  • Comply with relevant Hospice policies including Infection Control, Health & Safety etc.
  • Undertake all Housekeeping duties in accordance with the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Holding COSHH certification is desirable.
  • Able to attend and pass all mandatory training.
